One of the activities of LV FOREST is the purchase and export of timber. We mainly export timber to European and Asian countries.

The export of wooden materials is divided into two directions:

Roundwood export

We saw ourselves, as well as buy various types of logs from customers (logging companies) and deliver them in unprocessed form to customers both in Europe and Asia. Basically, we export logs such as birch veneer logs, birch tare logs, conifer logs, black alder saw logs, etc.

Lumber export

We purchase ready-made lumber from Latvian sawmills (tare boards, sawn and unsawn boards, various blanks, etc.) and then deliver them to our customers all over the world.

Our business partners are production companies that turn the trees grown in Latvia and the lumber produced into finished products that are consumed all over the world, including in Latvia.

LV FOREST has obtained the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certificate (FSC-C122992), which confirms the responsible monitoring of the supply chain and the controlled wood system in the company's daily work, confirming that all processes are carried out responsibly, respecting the public, environmental protection and economic interests. There are many woodworking and manufacturing companies in Latvia. Of course, the entire production does not stay in Latvia, because the market does not need so much production, the local market is too small. Therefore, woodworking companies export their products to other countries around the world. Not only processed timber and lumber (boards, beams, wooden houses, blanks, wooden elements, etc.), but also raw logs are exported. Just as lumber and logs are exported, they are also imported into Latvia from other countries. Everything is determined by free market conditions.
